This path begins near the Sanctuary of Dinnammare, located at 1100 meters above sea level. Just below the Sanctuary, there is the military road that runs along the Peloritani ridge from north to south for 70 km. The route is extremely scenic, offering magnificent glimpses of the Strait of Messina. During our walk, the landscape will slowly change, showing us the green valleys of the Northern Peloritani and splendid views of the coast of Milazzo and the Aeolian islands. It will be a succession of emotions, caused by a constant change of environments. The Girasì path will take us back to the ridge, up to the military road – built at the beginning of the 20th century by the Alpini military corp. The route will end under the Dinnammare Sanctuary.
The length of the routes is about 14 km.
This route present any technical difficulty, as it will hike on forest tracks and single tracks path.
What to wear: Trekking shoes, anorak, backpack, sticks, a t-shirt replacement.
